Searching Job without Work Permit

I am holding Dependent Visa. I have been in Germany for past 3 Months. Can I search job with dependent Visa?

Do I want to confirm any thing in Visa Office?

I was thinking that I can apply for work permit after getting Visa. Is that correct?

Please advice me on this.
